So I was rear-ended by a driver who wasn't paying attention and now my CSVT has a giant hole in the right side of the bumper. I'm having his insurance company cover the repair costs, but I'm curious if anyone knows any shops online who sell rear bumpers for 98-2000 csvt's. thanks.
 
The bumper is discontinued now. It was only available from Ford when it was in production.

Your only option now is a used one from someone. Check around junkyards.
 
any idea of what the auto shop will do to repair the damage? I plan on having it done at a place certified by the insurance company.
 
good luck. samething happened to me like three years ago. at the time the rear bumper was 1300 from ford. doubt you could even get it now

That is quite a lot of $$ and that is why I love my GL... I can just look at the crack and red paint on the corner of the rear bumper and say, "man that idiot who owned this before me could not park" and then just go my merry way :p
 
I got rear ended also, and My csvt has a hole in it on the left side. It's been 8 months and I haven't found one yet. Nobody in america has one for new, which are priced at $1400. Can't find any around. Just wondering if you had any luck finding one.
 
Depending on the damage, a good bodyshop should be able to repair it and you would never know it was hit.


silverbullitsvt00, do you have any pics of the damage? I could tell you if its repairable as I've fixed a few myself and have resold them. BTW, good to see we have another person from Louisville. :)
