Random Facts.

i washed my car yesterday. and actually went through the trouble of waxing it in the winter.. which i never do. And now its snowing:mad:
at least the salt shouldn't stick as bad now .funny the cpt'n has been sitting in the driveway now for months (except for two short runs down the street) and is kinda dirty just shows how much airborn dirt gets around:crazy:

My fact for the day: More snow, more wind and more snow drifts.

There are some high drifts around the pool so I was thinking about digging out some of the snow and making a fort. Anyone wanna come over. :)

We started w/ a 2 hour delay, but teachers have to report at regular time on delay days. I was at work for about an hour and 15 min, when they sent us home. That is the 3rd time this year.

Then, when I was 1/2 way home, I got a call that teachers were supposed to stay. Roads were packed w/ traffic, and getting pretty slick. (Rear end of Pearl slid out twice ). Opted to keep going home, they can take a sick day if they want. Just not in the mood to sit in 2 hours of traffic while it's snowing.

My tank was plowing through drifts as high as my hood in 2WD up an icy hill. I have yet to get it stuck in snow.

That sucks Scott. Glad you made it home safe.
I think we should blame MX, he moves out here and we get nailed with multiple snow storms. I'm hearing that another Nor'easter may be on the way for Wed.

My tank was plowing through drifts as high as my hood in 2WD for 12 miles up an icy hill with no tires. I have yet to get it stuck in snow.

That sounds better to me.

Random fact: We got another new mail carrier. :( One bright side, we got our mail 20 minutes ago. The other carrier came at 2:30. Early is good.

I hit a curb for the first time since driving. I went through multiple snow drifts over the front bumper to get where i was going and pulling back into work where they didn't plow i hit.

sucks since the car isn't drivable, guess i'll have to drive the buick.

Fact: today is one of the biggest party days at school and i have a fifteen page paper to write.

This is why procrastinating is bad :blackeye:

So this new holiday started your freshman year eh?

Off the top of my head i'd say blue+white weekend, arts fest and st. patty's day top today but thats just an older alumni speaking.

random fact ,scraping burnt carbon out of piston ring grooves on a 44 year old engine is a pain .I know they are that old because it is still standard size bore ,and the crank is also standard size and every thing is stamped FOMOCO

While I'am on my Rueben kick I discovered that a Rueben made with pastrami is not called a Rueben at all it is in fact called a Rachel ,who knew

i flew in the balloon today. The winds picked up before we landed and we ended up having to do a rip out. (deflate before we hit the ground) we estimated hitting the hard frozen ground at 11-14 MPH. then got dragged with the basket laying on its side for a few yards. It was really fun and Marks(the pilot) first rip out.

im in the balloon you can see. we went with 1 other pilot and someone else came up 5 minutes later.

how many feet did you go up  too scary for me:eek: where did you land all I see is buildings for as far as the eyes can see:shocked:

we didnt go very high. 1200 ft maybe. we took off in the parking lot you see on the left. you can even see the truck and trailer. We landed in a field quite a ways away.

Its not that scary. I have been crewing for the guy for a while now and its really safe. Its a little scary when you first go up... but once you get use to it its fun.
