I just recently clear coated my IMRC cover, and I noticed the belt under the cover probably needs replaced. Does anyone know what this belt is called? Thanks in advance.

About $70 can get you a new pump, IIRC.

It's any easy job too, everytime I have replace mine I've been stranded no where near home.

i have an updated pump with about 4k miles on it i will sell. this one has the aluminum impellar which does not melt or twist apart like the stock (plastic) impellar.

PM me if your interested. the belt can be bought at any local auto parts store btw.

Up to you I guess....chances are it's already been replaced.

I'm at 156k miles I'm on my third pump.

I'm at 157k and still with original Ford pump.
No issues but I do carry a new metal impellar pump, gasket and belt in my trunk at all times. Murphy's law says it won't go out if I carry the spare.

I also have the original water pump, but I do have a 2000 SVT, where I know they claim it was fixed in that year right?

You're cruising for it. You should change it before it breaks because the last thing you want is an overheated engine (when it breaks) and you do not notice the temperature going to red.

Thanks for the help guys, I'll look into getting it changed anyways just because of the belt, much rather replace it before it breaks.
