question about beating e46 m3?

anythings possible with enough money.

stazi's car could out accelerate more than an m3 with the power he's making. even if it doesn't handle as well he could probably just pwn it in the straightaways and keep the bimmer behind him.

What does he run? Because a stock e46 m3 run between 12.7-13.5
 
Umm does this fictional road course driver have any experience? An SVTC can own a lot of faster cars with a proper driver.

uh, yeah we're not talking about drag racing. 1/4 mile times have nothing to do with how fast you can get it around a track. if you wanna drag race you shouldn't drive an SVT contour or an M3. You're missing the point completely.



and todd is right too...though i still think with comparable drivers that the m3 would destroy the SVT without some extra power.

WELL I WAS TALKING ABOUT A CIRCUIT RACE AND THEN SOMEONE BROUGHT UP SOME GUY NAMED STAZIS CAR CAN BEAT AN M3 IN A STRAIGHT LINE:nonono:, AND I WAS ASKING WHAT HE RAN
 
e46 ran .90g the exact same as a SVTC FWIW. M3 had 40 more hp than a SVTC.

M3 0-60. 6.1 sex
SVT 6.9

Cost of SVTC performance to value > M3. :D
 
lol indeed my friend with his m3 started this thread without me watching and i just saw this and i told him i'll beat him on a track with my svt, he says its a track monster but can he drive it like a track monster no. hes my age 19 and i believe with a little more power i could take him

The E46 M3 came with 133hp more than the CSVT. Even with the bad clutch and melted catalytic converter mine will still walk away from a stock CSVT in any performance contest you can come up with. It's just plain not an apples to apples comparison.

Put the same power into a contour, and give it a decent suspension upgrade, then its more about who's driving. Equal driver, the M3 still is faster. The one thing about the M3, if an unskilled, or even inexperienced driver turns off the DSC and runs it hard, its not a question of IF the will crash, only when.
 
u will need an lsd for sure. hmm supercharge it or turbo?? depends where your going to be at for rpms during the track run. strut bars will be a good idea. along with the koni and lowering springs or coilovers. all bushings upgraded. clutch upgrade.

then its close. but then you put soo much money into an aging chassis that has very little back up aftermarket wise.

im going to go with the m3 for the win
