Public Poll ---What type of exhaust system do you have?

Exhaust type-- Borla Cat Back
Manifolds/Headers-- Manifolds
Y-pipe-- Stock
Main Cat-- Stock
Resonator-- None
Mufflers-- Borla
Volume#--3

Exhaust type-- Bassani
Manifolds/Headers-- MSDS Headers
Y-pipe-- NONE (NPG Turbo)
Main Cat-- NONE
Resonator-- NONE
Mufflers-- Bassani

10+++ Mad Loud, Many people hate it (even me at times)!
Youtube video's available (TSTraction)!

Exhaust type-- Custom 3"
Manifolds/Headers-- MSDS
Y-pipe-- MSDS
Main Cat-- none
Resonator-- two in line resonators
Mufflers-- stock

one word- ORGASM

Exhaust type-- Zetec w/ SVT (welded before resonator)
Manifolds/Headers-- Manifolds
Y-pipe-- N/A
Main Cat-- Stock
Resonator-- None
Mufflers-- Stock SVT

Volume 3-4 at low RPM, 5-6 when I get on it.

Sounds very good, IMO. Might be better with a resonator and no mufflers...

Manifold - stock
y-pipe - stock
Main Cat - stock
resonator - removed, replaced with Magnaflow SS muffler 2.5 in , dual 2" out
Dual 2" pipe from muffler to rear bumper with 4" polished tips.
No rear muffler(s).

Volume 3-4 Can cruise all day long on highway without loosing hearing or mind.

Previous muffler was flowmaster style chamber muffler (installed by previous owner) with same dual 2" pipes to rear bumper.

Volume 5-6 at idle, 7-8 cruising and it was hard on hearing and headache generating on long cruises.

Prefer the current system, should have gone to Magnaflow years ago.

UPDATE: May 24th weekend.

Manifold - stock
Y-pipe - custom dual 2" mandrel bent, connecting directly into new cat
Main Cat - replaced with Magnaflow (94007) dual 2" in, single 2.5" out
Added 2.5" flex pipe and tubing to connect to previous Magnaflow SS muffler.

Sound: 2-4 at idle and cruising down the road, 6-8 under hard acceleration, loud but not obnoxious. BEST SO FAR.

Exhaust type-- Zetec w/ removed resonator and replaced flex pipe
Manifolds/Headers-- Manifolds
Y-pipe-- N/A
Main Cat-- Stock
Resonator-- None
Mufflers-- Stock

Volume-- same as stock, maybe slightly louder. however at ~2500 rpm it resonates and it gets louder. not sure that I like it at all. but replacing the resonator that was split open with a straight pipe was alot cheaper then replacing the resonator.

Exhaust type-- Trubendz resonated Borla
Manifolds/Headers-- Manifolds
Y-pipe-- Optimized stock and high flow cat
Main Cat-- Stock
Resonator-- comes with exhaust
Muffler-- borla

Volume-- At idle it sounds pretty deep. Anything below 2500 sounds nice and deep, above that it gets progressively louder, but a nice louder. No rasp at all. I personally would like a louder exhaust, which is why i have a bassani..... not installed though:blackeye:.
Volume at idle: 2-3
Cruising: 3.5-5
WOT: 5-6... You can hear the engine a lot more than the exhaust.

Update: Just installed my Bassani Exhaust today. OMG it sounds like secks!!!

Exhaust type-- Bassani Exhasut
Manifolds/Headers-- Manifolds
Y-pipe-- Optimized stock and high flow cat
Main Cat-- Stock
Resonator-- None
Muffler-- Bassani

Volume at idle: 7
Cruising: 8
WOT: 9

This exhaust is AWESOME! OMG I love it. At idle it sounds SO much better and louder than the resonated Trubendz Borla. I am in love with the car all over again! The car sounds friggin awesome at WOT. Since the weather is crap today, I'll get a video of it tomorrow. Honestly if anyone can get their hands on a Bassani, DO IT! There's a bit of drone just under 3k rpm on the highway, but I could honestly care less.

Very loud!!!

Very loud!!!

Shorty headers, magnaflow xmuffler dual pipes exit out the side through the jack locations. No earplugs needed at idle 1800 rpm but at 8200rpm it's a good idea.
Soon to have a set of long tube step headers, and the dyno will determine the the rest.

Rob...there is a format used in here to help people depict certain elements of our exhaust. Please reformat your post by using the format provided below.

Exhaust type-- Custom dual pipes exiting out the side through the jack holes.
Manifolds/Headers-- MSDS headers
Y-pipe-- Custom
Main Cat-- None
Resonator-- None
Muffler-- Magnaflow

Volume at idle: 5
Cruising: 9
WOT: 10

Also your car doesn't rev to 8,200 rpms...

Sorry!!

Exhaust type-- Custom dual pipes exiting out the side through the jack holes.
Manifolds/Headers-- Custom Roush (new design coming soon)
Y-pipe-- is actually a magnaflow muffler
Main Cat-- None
Resonator-- None
Muffler-- none
Volume at idle: 7
Cruising: depends what speed, 150 with earplugs and a helmet 8
WOT: no earplugs or helmet you will have a headache
I know it doesn't sound right but yes 8200RPM

Exhaust type-- stock
Manifolds/Headers-- stock manifolds
Ypipe-- msds
Main Cat-- trubendz 2.5"
Resonator-- Stock
Mufflers-- Stock

i'd give it about a 3-4 throughout the rpm range. at about 2,200-2,500 rpms it sounds nice and deep

Exhaust type-- SVT stock piping
Manifolds/Headers-- Stock manifolds
Y-pipe-- Optimized stock
Main Cat-- stock
Resonator-- 5x8x14 mid-ship
Mufflers-- Stock SVT mufflers with stock polished tips

Loudness (assuming stock is a 1): 3
A little rumble at startup.
Almost not noticable rumble at idle.
Sounds outstanding at WOT and loud enough to get noticed.
Cruise is a very nice, moderate exhaust note. No drone at all and a pleasure to listen to.
Went to the Fun Ford Weekend and was told by more than one person that the exhaust note & tone was outstanding without being too loud.

Exhaust: 2.25" pipe
Manifolds/Headers: Weapon-R
Cat: Magnaflow 2.25" universal #41105
Resonator: Magnaflow
Y-pipe: None
Muffler: Magnaflow with chrome tip

Loudness: 3 - 4. It sounds deep and quiet.

My exhaust system was upgraded by Roger's Exhaust Shop in Fontana, CA. I told them that I wanted a performance exhaust system without the excessive noise. The entire exhaust system was upgraded to 2.25 inches diameter piping. They even painted the upgraded pipe with anti-rust paint. They did an outstanding job! I recommend these guys to anyone in the Inland Empire area who needs some exhaust work!!

Exhaust - stock pipe size
header/manifold - Stock manifold
Resonator - removed
Muffler - Flowmaster 40 in stock location w/ sleepper OEM turn down tip
Idle - deep burble
Regular speeds - a little higher pitched
Drop Throttle - Mustang gt like deep "drone ?"
2.5-5

Exhaust: 2.25" cat back
Header: Weapon-R
Y-pipe: Weapon-R
Resonator: Magnaflow
Cat: Stock
Mufflers: None

Idle Loudness: 6
Crusing Loudness: 7.5
WOT Loudness: 8

Awsome sounding, but loud....started as CTA exhaust, then straightpiped to the back with 2 magnaflow resonators before 3.5in tips.

Exhaust: stock piping
Header: stock
Y-pipe: Weapon-R
Resonator: straight pipe
Cat: main cat deleted, stock pre cats
Mufflers: stock

Idle Loudness: 6
Crusing Loudness: 6-7
WOT Loudness: 8-9

has a nice deep gargle sound at idle, a little raspy with some drone around town at cruising speeds but once you open it up past 4k rpm it screams!

Exhaust type-- stockish
Manifolds/Headers-- stock
Y-pipe-- stock
Main Cat-- empty
Resonator--stock
Mufflers-- none///custom 2.5 inch rear Y pipe emptying into resonated 3.5 inch tips
Intake-- stock w/ drop in K&N
Volume#

LX 2.5L
Exhaust type-- True Borla Catback
Manifolds/Headers-- Stock - gutted
Main Cat-- Sho-Shop SS
Resonator-- Stock Borla
Mufflers-- Stock Borla

Volume#- 4

Quiet below 3K, slight drone/bass around 3K, nice balance between intake and exhaust above 3-4K

I think your intake setup should be included in this. When I swapped out my stock intake for a SRI, the drone from my exhaust was completely eliminated, so the intake setup can totally make a difference.
