Projector Headlight Build

How is the quality of the Cougar lenses compared to the Acura TSX ones that a lot of people have used?

I doubt the Cougar lenses are as good as the TSX ones, but for cost and easy of finding bulbs, wiring, etc using the cougar lenses are probably the way to go. I got a set from the yard a long time ago but could never find the time to do the retrofit. These look great. Good job!

I agree that the cougar set isn't as good, but if your going for something fairly easy then its a good way to go. I myself am not too worried about too much light output, I am mostly going for the look. Plus it feels good saying "I made these" or hearing people ask where you got them.

Tip of the car for going for this, may I suggest yellow, halogen's for the high beams though, trust me, yellow works awesome for high's! Secondly, are you going to buff those lenses out?

I can attest that quad projectors in the Contour work well and look awesome! I had a great set made by Milan back in the day and really enjoyed them and always wondered what happened to them, last thing I heard was they were taken out of the car but that was many years ago.

Congrats on doing this, good idea using the Cougar ones because of the price, I'm sure they were cheap as hell!

$45 a piece. Cheapest I have found them. And yes im planning on clearing up the lenses as soon as I get them sealed.

I used a set of Cougar projectors for my quad-projector build as well. The projector housings are very good quality, I noticed some other more expensive car manufactures also use the same projector lamp manufacturer, so they must be pretty decent.

I only paid $70 for two broken up Cougar headlights, you really can't go wrong.

More people should do this.

Super old pic but you get the idea.

Seriously, your mold looks fantastic. Could you post/PM more pics of the build?

I havn't really done much lately with these but i finally found time to finish. I still need to glue the headlight back together though.

Nope, i had problems before blinding people with just the HID kit in the factory housings. But with the projectors i dont piss anyone off. I had one guy flash at me which i thought was cause of the lights...but he was warning me to slow down b/c of the cop ahead...which ended pulling me over for speeding:mad:

I've got a spare set of headlights that I'm going to practice the retrofit, then I'll buy a new set to do so it's completely new when I finish them.
