Productive (and expensive) weekend

Winter's never a bad market to buy in. Bet the payment's a chunk of bread all the same though, eh?

Actually, your driveway/parking lot is kinda bad. The incline isn't too steep, but it looked like a skating rink last week. I coulda broke ma neck and sued! ;)

:shocked:eek:iesjriwkeytgijk...omg JEALOUSSS. im completely obsessed with SUBARU. i had a subaru legacy outback and i would have tried reproducing with it if it were a human...awkward.

good luck with the SICK new ride

Matt is single. Maybe you could change b/f's and be one step closer to the car. ;) :D

Where the hell is Ian? Looks like he's asleep at the switch.

Sounds like you've got an uphill climb ahead of you, being in competition with a Subaru, and all.

and uphill climb vs. a car with AWD?? doesn't seem too challenging.

i didn't know my post would cause this much of an up"ROUAR" lawl. look at me all full of my witty one liners

LOL. Only 125-150 so far. But I'm heading to Worcester this eve to show off the car, and I have drive to Boston tomorrow morning for work.

Did I mention the car had 00005 miles on it when I bought it? :D Literally just off the truck, never test driven (even by me, I drove another car first). The salesman drove it to the gas station to top off the tank.

I'm breaking it in too. Haven't gone above 4K RPMs yet.

Strange seeing such low mileage, eh? I think I started off with 6 on mine for the same reasons. :)

As I have said before, im a firm believer over the hype of AWD being completely overrated in the winter. Regardless of what I think, thats a nice vehicle there matty and im sure you'll be enjoying the "new car" sensation as I did. Whats the break in miles for your car? iirc mine was 1500, after that I let her rip and it was glorious :)

and mods planned? or just keeping her stock?

heh. Maybe it is overrated, but there is no denying that three/four wheels operating (with power applied based on traction response) is better than 1 or 2 straight in a limited-traction environment. I always borrowed my parents' AWD cars (also Subarus) when I had to go out in a very bad storm.

My favorite example was when I took my mom's old Legacy to school one blizzard. The car didn't have a parking permit so I had to park on the street, where it was promptly plowed in and buried. When I came back out I brushed the snow off the car, headlights and grille, cleared a small path just so I could open the door, got in and drove off. I would have been outside for at least an hour digging out a 2WD car even if it had snow tires. I don't really want a daily driver without AWD.

No mods really planned for now. You guys would appreciate this: I immediately ordered a dealer-installed rear dome light and it will be installed on Saturday. :) I also bought the stock subwoofer and all-season floor mats.
