Hard-core CEG'er
well my car was down for a few days while I sourced a replacement waterpump gasket.
during that time, I felt it was compelled to change some other things.
its a 96 se with traction control. I removed the traction control, replaced the TB [the housing has been nicely optimized] from a 99 atx cougar with the matching TPS/bracket/cable.
took it around the block and ummm, ya thats quite some throttle response... the car just skips over 1-3k in the rpm band... while thats mildly entertaining [ok heavily entertaining], thats not very practical for driving in traffic.
So I swapped the TPS back to the original 96, and the throttle still seems incredibly touchy [but at least 'safely' drivable].
I'm not sure what to try. insight would be appreciated [I have several spare brackets from different mtx's and atx's, different cables, and a spare gas pedal if that makes a difference]
