Ive searched but found nothing on what people pay for syncros.

I just called a local dealership and the guy had trouble on the part#'s and gave me three different parts and prices just for the 3rd gear syncro.
And the price would have added to about $140 for just 3rd!

Someone please help me out with a part number(s) and please tell me it shouldn't be that expensive!:help:

5th Gear Syncro - YM2Z-7107-EB - $10.03

idk. its what i found off of SVRT oerformance and wasnt sure either. i would asume the 3rd gear update syncro??. but if i were you id go ahead and replace all of the syncros to save you a head ache for later. becuse ive herd that the 5th gear syncro goes out alot as well.

I'd also have them all replaced, but I've never heard of the 5th gear synchro going out, because that is the synchro that gets used the least by far, unless it was a bad design or something.

My 5th grinds when shifting into gear in excess of 5K RPM. I'm going to have them all replaced when I have my transmission out - or at least 2nd, 3rd, and 5th...

Would it be smarter to buy the syncros at a dealer and then take the tranny to the shop or just have the shop get the parts on their own?

What else should be replaced along with syncros for wear and tear?

Any idea what the labor/parts should cost?

how about u just add up the price of wotever syncros u're gonna get, call the shop n ask how much for labor with the parts u got? Guaranteed its cheaper than letting them source their own parts.

Yeah..sure thing.. just missing the price and part numbers on the parts:help:

well, here are the part numbers i got. Turns out they've been updated like a million times . Here are the updated numbers to the ones that were posted earlier. The guy at the desk didnt get it either, so here goes...

YM2Z-7107-EB $23.17each(u'll need two of these)
6S7Z-7124-D $71.98
F8RZ-7M000-BB $75.10
these are for the third n fourth gear syncros. for some reason the fourth has to be upgraded along with the third. am gonna be updating mine also, so keep posted to this thread. i'll call bill jenkins on monday and post wotever info he gives me.

Thanks for getting thoses numbers.. but what exactly is each one?

Also can you get the numbers on the other syncros as well?

What else should get replaced just for normal wear and tear? Shift Forks? Bearings?

Theres only one part number for 1st and 2nd gear syncros. Same for 5th and R.
1st n 2nd#- 6S7Z-7124E
5th n R#- 6S7Z-7124

if they'e not worn, new ones shouldn't make a difference.
