Ethan (Twang) got his Shiva-X from Acoustic Visions, and i got my 2 Tempest-X's from DIY cable. I think Ethan doesn't want to deal with acoustic Visions since shipping took longer than he wanted.. that impatient :censored::censored::censored::censored::censored:. However I'm 100% happy with DIY cable.

Going for a single 12" sub in a sealed box? If you have any questions, feel free to ask :)
 
Well, I just didn't like acoustic-visions because they use DHL, whom I don't trust from previous shipping encounters...and whom I also blame for the wait...but c'mon:shrug: How could I not be impatient waiting for that beast:laugh:
 
well, if i can't get the 15" in a sealed box, i'll go with the 12". i'm not interested in SPL; i just want to hear them low notes. :)
 
The Tempest-X can be used down to 3 cubic foot sealed. Fill it with poly fil, and you'll be fine. I will say i've got 2 of these subs with 600wrms each and they're producing insane amounts of bass at 30hz and LOWER. I actually had a test CD in with 15 hz.... lots of vibrating, but inaudible. it felt like someone was outside rocking my car back and forth. The subs itselves were pushing 2.5" of excursion peak to peak. Shiva-X should provide similar results... just not as much.
