ok i just recently have overcome numerous haunting problems with my contour after fixing 99% of the electrical problems my check engine light came on and the car does not idle right when i turn the wheel at a stop...so i brought the car into school and scanned it with the modus come to find out it threw 2 codes both for the power steering pressure sensor one was an input fault the other was an out of test range code whatever that means...i know this sensor is cheap like 25 bucks but if there anyway to test the sensor itself to make sure its working or to see if its the wires or connector rather then the sensor?

also it looks very easy to get too since its right on top of the engine bay but it looks like a pain in the ass to remove and replace but i dont know cause i havent done it

anyways how many volts should i get with KOEO resistance with key off etc

ill probably end up just replacing the sensor because everytime i turn my wheel the car feels like it wants to stall but while im driving the car is fine. i would still like to know how to test this sensor

well any help is always appreciated fellas

Power Steering Pump pressure wiring repair.

Some early Contiques had a common problem with the wires to the sensor betting damaged. The damage was usually within an inch or so of the sensor. Look there first.

My wiring is broke at the connector no room to solder. Are there any how-to's on rewiring the connector? How about a factory pigtail?
