What is it w/ you? You have been told how many times about the pre-98 lip spoiler on the pre-98 trunk. It is a general consensus that that is the ONLY spoiler that looks good on that trunk. If you want a wing on that trunk and you want it to look good get the lip spoiler.
 
Actually, it doesn't look bad in my opinion. My car is EXTREMELY dirty in this pic, but it is the only pic of the spoiler that I have at the time! I will get more pics today!

The guy just asked for a picture, not your response on how no other spoiler looks good on it. In my opinion, yes the lip spoiler is very hot... but I think the post 98 spoiler looks better than NO SPOILER on the pre 98 trunks. The Pre 98 trunks just look naked without a spoiler.

Reebs, thanks so much for posting a pic, i think it looks really good. im not trying to sound like an *******, but why does everyone like the lip spoiler? i honestly can barely notice it. do you have any other pics of other angels reebs?

because its subtle enough to look good and not make the trunk lid look naked. Best looking spoiler on the pre 98s imho.
 
im trying to make my car look funny and maybe kinda cool, but not junky, im putting on a hood scoop (didnt commit yet, haha)

i think that with the hood scoop i would need a spoiler thats alittle taller, so i think the post-98 spoiler would look better, does anyone agree?
 
Haha, I used to have that exact same hood scoop (the first one) on my escort back in the day... I actually put in on the roof as a roof scoop just because that escort of mine couldn't get any more ghetto... anyways.... it blew off on the highway and hit a SUV that was following me... :shocked:
 
when putting on your hood scoop make sure to put in on crooked with double sided tape or elmers glue...gives the civics like 50hp cuz of the airflow... :)
 
so which one do you guys think would look better, im thinking the 2nd one. i want people to think, "that hood scoop doesnt look bad, wait, what the hells a hood scoop doing on a ford contour?" whaddya think, the 2nd one?
 
to make the scoop look good you would have to mold it into the hood & repaint and to keep from entering rice territory it would have to be functional which would involve cutting through the hood...

i suggest skipping the scoop and getting the lip spoiler (possibly found at junk yard)....and spending the money that you would have spent on the scoop on a CAI or Ram Intake (ebay or otherwise)...the intake would provide more of a performance advantage than said functional scoop....

and might avoid the "what the hells a contour need a hood scoop for?" ....long pause....this is the GT-R Quad Turbo Triple Rotary NOS Special Edition Contour...

Honestly, I think both those hood scoops would look out of place on a contour. I mean, ive seen them on neons and you can just tell it was an after thought. Personally, I like mods that make people wonder that it came from the factory that way.
 
yes i totally agree, i like my car to look stock also. i dont know, i just dont like the lip spoilers, i think the post-98s look alitle better. except i cant find one like reebs, all of the ones ive found touch the trunk in the middle.

am i right, or is that maybe just a shadow in the middle or something? if not, would i be able to cut that off without affecting the LED light?
 
if you want a two post spoiler similar if not the same as the one Reebs posted check out JCWhitney ... my mothers car was suppose to have a spoiler and the one the dealer put on is exactly like the one you can get there ...
 
hey i think i found the one your talking about, but its pretty expensive. do you think if i just cut off the middle post, would it still fit right and look good?
