I'm planning on having a couple of my NECO guys from California come up for the weekend of November 14th and would love for any of you to join in :)

As of now, the plan is to have a cruise Saturday afternoon (leaving from somewhere around Vancouver) and dinner back at my house in N.Vancouver that night (spaghetti or something equally easy - and anyone local wanting to bring something is more than welcome to ;) ).

link to thread on NECO or reply here if interested in coming :)

it's a ways off and I'm sure others will join in. After all we've got to give a big welcome to folks who are willing to drive up here from Calif even if they are driving Kittys.... LOL

for anyone interested in meeting, the plan is to meet at the Starbucks at 78th & Hwy 99 in Vancouver (1 block east of I-5 at exit #4) at 2PM and take off from there for a drive around 2:30 +/-.

So Goldie and I met up along with her Cougar cohorts from Calif. Seemed like nice guys but then can you imagine 4 of them in one kitty all the way from SanDiego????? must have been really good friends... well actually 2 were from all the way south the other 2 were picked up around SanFran. Anyway as PDXSVT said, the odds were about even one Tour to 5 Kitty people..... LOL

Since we had 3 cars we all doubled up after coffee and gab at Starbucks, and we headed out on a bit of a run up to Multnomah Falls then took the old hwy back. I'm so lousy on names that I've forgotten the name of the fellow with me, but we were in the lead crusin along in the outside lane when this PU comes up on the inside moving right along and well I couldn't just let it go by so I kicked the Tour in the ass a bit and moved on out ahead..... (barely exceeding the 65mph of course) All of the Kitty drivers commented on how nicely the Tour performed. Apparently other than the sports version they have a cutout at around 115.

On the return we only got a few corners in since there was traffic we caught up to and ..... no they wouldn't pull over.....@#%!

I should say that IF SOMEONE had mentioned it was half price day at U-Pull-IT I might have been there right along side o'l GN.... but what the heck I had fun too and met some nice folks.

I did like the A pod, his head lights flashed and tail lights were progressive.

We got to the falls at 5pm and it was already dark, but not a bad pic for a cell phone...

And since you weren't there we talked about you and made fun of you.... well all except for GN he was doing something important.....

Thanks Goldie for the invite.....

I wish I coulda been there, but yeah, I was doing something important, anyway. Sorry I didn't give ya a heads-up about the half-price day at U-Pull-It, but I don't think you missed much if you were looking for 'Tour stuff. At least half of the Damascus yard is vehicles from the Great Vehicle Slaughter of 2009, aka "Cash For Clunkers". :nonono: So, unless you're looking for SUV, minivan, truck or larger car parts, not much stock seems new there. I was there picking up some stuff for the latest addition to my collection:

1997 Explorer XLT Control Trac 4x4 with a 5-Speed. Now I finally have a winter vehicle again. :)

They're talking about doing another half-price day at Damascus in December -- I'll keep ya posted this time.
