Hi All,

I have a broken rear spring on a '99 SVT and want to buy oem parts for now; does anyone know if the quick strut assembly (Motorcraft part # ASTV5) has everything I would need? Otherwise I'll buy what I need, I just want to verify that the struts (which need replacement), springs, boots and mounts are all that I need. Also I want to verify that the stiffer SE spring will work with the SVT strut mount and boot. If there's a thread that will answer this, point me to it.

All of the rear springs are interchangeable for all makes and all models of Contour. The stiffest rear springs were from early (95 to 97) SE models. 98 and newer SE uses the same rear springs as other models. I understand that the SVT factory rear springs are the same as any stick shift V6 Contour.

I'm not familiar with the "quick strut" assembly.

Hey Jim, thanks for the info; I want the early SE spring and wanted to make sure it wouldn't be an issue w/ the strut that originally came on the car which is what I'll be using.
