I looked on the door and I see "4GL"...is that a paint code?

it will say on the door sil "EXT CLR" and underneath it have a number. Mine is D6, which stands for "Cabernet Red"

4GL is not a paint code.

Edit: I bet if you even post a pic of the car we could tell you what paint code it is.

The paint code is on a blue/green sticker in the drivers door jam, it has production date @ the top the bottom will say EXT pnt and have 2 digit code after it below u will see int trim with 2 digits also, almost always 2 letters with ford but sometimes a number, mine is TS Silver Frost Pearl.

Are you sure it's not silver frost metallic?
