Car is pulling this code every time after a drive cycle. Pats light will flash like a strobe light.

I googled and it says "Theft detected - Engine disabled" After i let the car sit for 10-15 mins, It will start and drive fine.

I do have alot of my dashboard off pieces off, from installing a-piller gauges, would that be it?

Only other thing i can think of is i tapped into the ignition switch/dimmer like i was told.

Help! :help:

Edit: forgot to add before this all happend, when i pulled out the car to a stop, it made this high pitched humming sound for maybe 10 seconds... then the car died. Only the first time though

I would have tapped the acc wire for tha radio for your powered switch wire not any ignition wires. The dimmer tap shouldn't be any issue there, I did the same for mine.

Hmm, i dunno Brapple told me it was ok to tap there, and i think others have done that as well.

Whats weird is before i moved the car, i could start and and turn it off as much as i would like, and it wouldn't do anything like this. Now that its actually moving it thinks i'm stealing it.

all I can think of is an intermittant connection somewhere. have you traced and checked all the pats wiring? is teh antenna plug is well since its near the ignition?

Where is all the Pats wiring? Does it go from the clock too....? And a loose antenna connection could do that?

well if it can't read the key then it might trip the system.

where does the wiring go? not 100% sure. track it from the antenna and the clock.

we are talking about the E0 right? all PATs wiring is external to the PCM. you didn't change to a different engine wiring harness did you? when the pats light is flashing does the car still run?

Yes.

No this is original.

Ughh, god i hope not.

Why wouldn't it be able to read the key? Ive started this car 50+ times before i took it out of the garage and didn't have this issue, why would moving it trip anything?

It doesn't flash while it runs. Just when i try to start it. I can go right now in the garage and start it (it will be fine and normal), drive around the block, turn it off. If i try to start again it will flash , unless i wait 15 mins or so, then the Pats light will do normal stuff, like blink once or w/e it does.

if the antenna isn't plugged in all the way and the connection is intermittant then it isn't going to always be able to read the key.

maybe its the pats unit itself. its external from the pcm.

Hmm, the Radio is kinda loose, I'll check that out first.

Do you know where the Pats unit itself is? Do they go bad?

not the antenna for the radio.:troutslap: the antenna for the PATS system, its a ring that goes around the ignition cylinder.

Is there anything to look for on it? loose connections? something broken? IDK what I'm doing, I'm stumped :(

WTF.
Not sure how i fixed it but, i did... Unplug a-piller gauges= Problem gone.

Complete shot in the dark.
