Optimization of Throttle Body

I guess it wouldnt take too long if you use a dremel and a cut-off wheel to half shaft it. I guess it took me a while since i grinded both sides down.
 
99 3L tB that im' switching to is already half shafted. so all i gotta do is trim down the one side and finish polishing it up. luckily it is a 2 3/8" opening on the backside which is exact to my 05 taurus manifold. the 65mm was actually 2 5/8" and it made a little bit of turbulence. i made up for the size difference by deleting the egr tube inside the manifold :)
 
can someone brake this how to down step buy step. what does half shaft mean. how do you kinfe edge the plate. how do you clean it. what size screws. where to cut. what to shave
 
Half shaft means get rid of half the center shaft. There are two sides to it and the plate sits in between them. You can cut one side off completely so there is only one side to it. You can swap to the countersunk screws after shaving out part of the screw holes in the shaft. I'm assuming knife-edge the plate means to slightly sharpen the edges of it so it's smoother. Stock it comes with a slight taper on the edge, I guess knife-edging exacerbates that taper to more of a sharp edge. Common sense.
