Seeing as it was a quick photoshop, and you took the time to place them where you did, it wouldn't have taken any more effort to place them somewhere else where they'd look better. I just stated that they looked like crap there, and might look better elsewhere.
As far as actual placement, if they are fiberglass they'll flex some and can probably be mounted on a more contoured surface.
