Oil Filter problem with MSDS headers

Ok i just finished installing my set of MSDS headers and i got a new oil filter (ford racing) but its not fitting anymore, i miss a bit of clearance to screw the filter in place.
since i was running a ford racing filter before installing the headers i dont have a OEM filter nearby to check if they are the same size

so is the OEM will fit nicely with the headers ? am i doing something wrong ?

Love to help - with my full 3l and no oil cooler it fits alright. Oil changes are usually messy and getting a oil filter wrench on it is tough.

Umm maybe if the flange that meets with y-pipe is turned so the highest point is near the filter. :troutslap: Most ppl see that and tighen the bolts so it's not close.

silly me... yes the flange was in the way, now it fit... pretty tight but it fit

that flange came loose and i had it tightend at a shop and they tightened it so that it touched the oil filter and burned a whole right through it and i lost like 2 quarts of oil in a minute thank god my roomate saw me drive away and yelled at me to stop.
