octane

hey everybody what sort of octane rating in gas are most people using
plus has any one had bad performance using 10% ethanol gas ie: mohawk,husky 92 octane rating.in other words can i use reg gas with octane rated at 90.

I have three gas stations within 3 miles of my house that all sell 92 octane. this does have a 10% ethanol content and IMOP make my car run worse.

I have switched to BP Gas or Shell/Conoco gas. These two brands, in my area, do not contain any ethanol and make for much better gas mileage.

92 n up is all good but, i think 91 should work just fine for all ur performance needs.

read all the stickers on the pumps again. i bet there is a sticker on them that says something like "May contain up to 10% ethanol". i dont know a single gas company that does not put any ethanol in their gas.

that said i always try to find a shell and run 93 octane but in a pinch i will go with BP. shell is Top Tier gas and BP is not :shrug:
