I can't believe you had to post a thread complaining about buying an item.

You didn't get it, so what? Suck it up.

Dibs are beyond stupid. They use that crap on the my.IS forums I'm on too, and it's so annoying. That forums classifieds has the biggest BS I've ever seen. Unbelievable amounts of clutter from stupid dibs and bumps.

I had that BS happen on some laptops I was selling.

We went back and forth on a price, agreed on it, and that was it.

It was over the holidays so I sent a couple of friendly ... just checking in... emails so some slack was given....

Then came what I refer to as tenant excuses...

1. Out of town.. be back X day will send funds... box them up... blah blah

They were already boxed and ready but I responded with a 'do we still have a deal?' email.

2. Had trouble with PayPal and bank, got it fixed, should be couple days.

couple of days go by....no money. (I sent $$ to my paypal acct in the interim) went through fine.

Was waiting for... oh the dog ate it... what's the total... printed the invoice but lost it.. sheeeeeesh

Stupid people... just nut up and say I'm no longer interested.

as a seller i would request for a deposit for me to hold it for them otherwise its stritly i give out the pp adress and first come first serve.

okay, this has skewed off of topic enough.

I made an offer and WAITED FOR HIM, I had cash in hand, if he called me tonight and said "you want them come get them now" I would hop in the car, stop at the ATM and shoot straight over there.

the problem wasnt on my end, he had me sitting with my thumb up my ass, I gave him time, and after waiting he gets back to me by saying "oh I sold them to someone else over the weekend" which again the weekend was well after I made him an offer for what he was asking.

I am pissed because I did everything you guys are MENTIONING, im not saying I told him to wait 2 months for me to scrimp up the cash, I dont like to pussy foot around with people, I'm not going to make an offer on something I don't have the cash for. And this BS with "calling dibs" im not saying I "called dibs" I just figured that since I made an offer before anybody else, and that I tried to get the sale done first, that I would get president, but I guess not

every ing time I make a thread it turns into a ing dick measuring contest on who can tear into who better. Apperantly there are a bunch of untrustable savages on here that look at people and only see dollar signs.

You want to know whats more ridiculous? When you put something in the classifieds for dirt cheap, then have everybody offer you some stupidly low price for the item in question, THEN complain about the quality of it after getting it.

I guess with all of the stuff I have sold to people I shouldnt have been so nice to everybody and allowed payments, or taken the lower money offer because they got to me before everybody else. Sorry for having a conscience.

I can see where you are coming from Alias, but ish happens. I mean, I never have any money, and yet I'm still trying to work out a few deals with some CEG'ers for when I actually HAVE the money. If the CEG'er I've been talking to sells the item to someone else because they need it gone sooner, then so be it. They need the money and I may not have it right away. Maybe I have the money and PM them, but they are in the middle of arranging a deal with someone else. It happens. I'm sure you can find what you are looking for elsewhere...
