I have a few issues and I'm not sure what to check or where to start:

1995 2.5L 133XXX mi. MTX

At idle, half warm, the idle is not smooth. It acts like it is "hunting" but I have no check engine light. I have replaced one of the two o2 sensors which was because of a CEL.

When I am driving on a cold day, as the engine gets warmer I hear a tapping or clicking noise. It goes away once the engine is at norm op. temp. The clicking is only as I am accelerating at around 2k rpm. Even reving the car while not in gear will cause the noise. The frequency of the tapping doesnt increase as the rpms increase.

My car runs well when its cooler but after it is fully warmed up it is sluggish and the rpms stay lower around 500-600 rpm.

When I am coasting to a stop and I disengage the clutch, the rpms drop way low to about 400 rpm and any accessories will dim or slow.

I have replaced the IAC recently and reset the PCM after.

The ECT is what tells the PCM how warm the car is. When cold it commands richer fuel ratios, and changes timing, etc for better running conditions. as the car reaches operating temp the fuel would lean out, etc.
a bad ECT would cause the car to be supplying fuel for a perpetually cold car, even though your engine is no warm and doesn't need it, etc.

While I don't think (personally) that this will be your SOLE solution to your problem(s), I too would suggest checking it, at the very least.

This doesn't sound like it is engine related.... it could something like transmission, a driveshaft or a wheel bearing. It may stop after the joints/bearings have warmed up and expanded. Can you tell where the clicking is coming from ?..G.

I will check the temp sender, thanks.

I can't tell exactly where the tapping is coming from.. It sounds like it's right behind the firewall on the passenger side. But I can hear the sound in gear and out of gear. I just have to bring the rpms up to around 2000. I'm hoping it isn't a rocker or lifter or something. It just doesn't change speed though or much at all. I have heard of things like loose spark plugs or a spark grounding from a cracked coil but it just seems strange.. I'll check a few things but I was just hoping that someone might have had the same thing?

Thanks for the help so far

sorry my mistake.. when you said the clicking doesn't rise with engine revs i assumed it was driveline. If it is rockers, maybe an oil flush and change will clear the oilways. I used seafoam..the black crap that came out was incredible. You could also check the oil for metal fragments. ..G.
