Are you certain BOTH of them are working and that the connecting link hasn't come loose?

this is what I would check first.
how are you sure they are working?
next idea would be fuel pressure

god i feel like such an idiot. i forgot about the conecting link. and guess what....that was the problem. Now would this have caused my P0171 (engine bank 1 lean) ? if yes thank god if not...many more probles to fix. stupid car hits 160000 KM and EVERYTHING goes wrongAre you certain BOTH of them are working and that the connecting link hasn't come loose?

I would guess vacuum leak, fuel pressuree, maf, or possibly an oxygen sensor
If it was the MAF code it should throw codes for bank 1 and bank 2. Fuel pressure should probably do the same because it is the same for both banks. I would check all the vacuum connections for a leak.

After you fixed the linkage, did you clear the code?
