Nitrous Question?

Would it be possible to run a dual nozzle wet kit, with one nozzle mounted in each side of the intake manifold after it "T's" off past the TB inlet? Just curious, as it may help ensure better distribution without going as far as a direct port? Would it possibly help reduce the chance of puddling?

Thoughts?

I suppose you could, but I think it would make things more complex and I don't think there is really added benefit since people are running a single jet with success.

Has puddling ever really been an issue with CSVT's, or is it just a theory that some people post about from time to time?

Is that due to the engine's weak points....or loose nuts behind the wheel?

hyperutectic pistons. that'd be the weak point. my engine blew up on a middle cylinder. puddling wouldnt do that. it had a lot to do with being on a dyno too, on my third pull.... but the pistons will let loose at any time really.

lol, hyper pistons aren't junk just because they're hyper:crazy: I've personally hit a hyper piston car (given it was a V8) with a 175 shot. What size were you spraying? If you got a piston, I'd imagine you got detonation and burned it, before it just decided to " let loose"

Check out the "Piston Durability" thread in the FI FAQs. That will help explain.

actually..... none of the other cylinders were bad at all. everything looked fine except the one piston. i found it in four pieces in the oil pan. it literally shattered. i was hitting a 100 shot, from a mustang jetting chart. it was giving me like 120 HP and 150 ft/lb so yeah.... i hadn't planned on it lasting forever. i got it over 300HP on a stock 160k SVT motor, with just bolt ons :) here's the motor

Whats the hottest cylinder on an SVTC? Did you have the injectors flowed to make sure that didn't contribute?

I can't see the pics from work, guessing its photobucket....:(

couldnt tell ya i didnt flow the injectors. the piston clean broke into pieces though. no detonation. i know what it looks like. the piston shattered, lol. i ran the thing so rich anyways, it was at 9:1 AFR on the bottle. it always made the best torque and never backfired, lol. i think it could have puddled a little bit on the secondaries because i was at SZ on the dyno running the car myself and i wanted to get big numbers so i started spraying at about 2000 rpm and it let loose at about 6400 :)
