New (to me) Wheels

Those look AWESOME! I bet they would have looked great on my old car but they definitely don't fit over the Baer Big brake kit. Maybe the NPG break upgrade kit would fit under them or if TCE has a "slim line" caliper to use for thier 13in setup..

They've really won me over. I haven't really cared for 5 spokes for years now, since it seems that everyone and their brother has some. But after seeing them on the car...complete change of opinion. I love 'em!

I was thinking about doing the NPG/FSVT brake upgrade. Not too huge, and not too expensive. :D Plus, I can save on shipping! "Hey Joey...bring those in to work with you!"

Maybe it is just the rubber bands, but I haven't liked those wheels in any picture I've seen . Nothing personal, honestly.

Bite me! I take it VERY personally!

 Just kidding. :D I'm sure it's a combination of the thin tires and the wheel gap. I'm hoping to have both issues corrected by GCT. But between this car and the SVT (which I hope to have presentable by GCT too) I have no idea if I'll be able to swing it. I also have to get tires for the Sub Zeros when they get put on the SVT.

Well first and foremost, the car is just dirty, especially those headlights. Are you planning on doing anything about the wheel gap? some new tires are probably in order along with some bigger brakes to really make the wheel area shine. And for petes sake, what's with the vinyl?

Nah but seriously, cool wheels

1) Yes, I know the car is dirty.
2) Yes, I know my headlights need to be sanded. I'll get to them when I get to them.
3) Yes, I know there is an ungodly amount of wheel gap. Brand new B&G Autobahn springs (also courtesy of Ohsigmachi) are in a box in the garage, and Spax struts will be ordered within the next couple of days.
4) Yes, I know the tires are rubber bands. They are 35 series and were on the wheels when I bought them. The next tires will have more sidewall.
5) Yes, I know the vinyl on the rear windows is trashed. Like the lights, I'll get to it when I get to it.
6) Yes, I know the brakes look tiny. When I get more "go" I'll worry about more "whoa."

Its sad that before you make a post on CEG, that you have to write out a disclaimer like that. Those rims go with the car perfectly, looks great!

Someone's reading comprehension is severely lacking. Posts and threads are like Playboy magazine, you're supposed to read the articles as well as look at the pictures!

The wheels look really good on your car. When did you get a CSVT? Any pics?

I picked it up last Saturday. It's a T-Red E0 in need of some serious TLC. I don't know if you browse the classifieds, but it was the car that bohdi threw out there for someone to save before he sold it to the State of Texas in one of their cleaner air programs. No one was going to pay what the State was giving, but it turned out the program was out of money. So I got it for a fair price. No pics yet. It's definitely a 20-footer. Looks good from that distance, but when you get closer... :nonono: . Hood's trashed, lots of little dings and scratches, broken shift tower bolt, high miles. I'm getting some parts lined up from Cuda06. He wants the BAT suspension off it, so we're going to do a little horse trading.

You know as well as anybody that when you make a post, people are looking for any little thing they can nitpick on. The post was about the wheels, not all the other issues I am already perfectly aware of. So I figured I'd head that off at the start to keep the thread on topic. Thanks for the compliment!

Wheels are definitely different, i'm not gonna be like others and pick at it. I get it all the time. Looks really good though.
