I got a good deal on the two mufflers and tips... a little over 200$ both shipped. For anyone looking for a good price on magnaflow go to http://www.performancepeddler.com/ don't use the ebay store, since you can find discount codes. With that being said, here's what I get for obtaining a good deal on the parts.

Now two mufflers and two tips installed cost me about 500$. This is the last annoyance, I'm done moding this car period. I have a gigantic fuking sign over my head that says 'take my money please' so i'm not even going to try.

anyways, this is what 4" 15 degree angle cut double walled tips look like when attached to 5x8 magnaflow mufflers.

And with that, i'm done. I'm not really happy with the look of these, since the wall of the muffler gets skinny to attach to the muffler too fast. It just looks like some crappy tip on there, I don't know if anyone know what the hell i am talking about, but it just looks weak. If i ever get a welder I am going to cut them off, and tuck them back another half inch so the edge of the top of the tip is even with the bumper. These look like camaro tips, almost.

If its the same performance peddler on ebay, the guy seriously lives like 5 blocks from my house. That being said, I still couldn't get a deal on the bassani setup that he sells

$500! I can get those two mufflers for $200 shipped and installed for at the most abother $100...

lol i might have ugly tips but i have about 300$ into my exhaust including a 100$ flex pipe, Y pipe, test pipe, and 2.5" catback. another 50$ and i'll have some decent tips on it. i think it looks good, but if you paid 500$ for mufflers and tips, you got ripped.

No sh*t sherlock!

200ish in parts, then 284 for install.

That clip is of it when its cold and was taken with my sh*tty camera.

how much difference did you expect??

A great deal of the "muffling" is done by the pre cats and cat itself...my mechanic ran/revved my car after cutting out the res before welding in the straight pipe. It's was less raspy with the mufflers connected...but i wouldn't say it was louder.

It sounds a little different but if you were looking to really change the sound, just changing mufflers was pretty silly. And you shouldn't expect any performance gain as you haven't removed any bottleneck(s).

All in all , the job turned out looking fine . Focus on that .
I can't believe Claude didn't give you some sorta estimate before you OK'd to have the work done . He's been in business a long time & has always done that for me . I've always been pleased with his work & price - I don't know WTH he was thinking when he madeout that bill . Maybe you shoulda given me a heads-up before you went there , and I coulda stopped over & talked to him about it - like I did w/mine & Christine's .
I just feel bad that he was soooo outta control with the price this time . I'm still planning on going to him for my rat-rod Volvo project ... unless he doesn't take his meds again ;) .
