New Konis - LOUD creaking under load

Hey guys,

So, I just had new Konis put in with my Eibach springs. Anyhow, when the back goes under load (as in, going up a driveway), the passenger side rear strut gives off a loud creaking sound - loud enough to fill the inside of the car. All of my searching has pointed at bushings, but this seems way too loud for that, and it wasn't a problem before the new struts went in. Should I take the car back to the shop and have them look at it?

Also, for some reason, they left the "jounce" (the white plastic-y thing) and the dust shield off of one of the front struts. Big deal?

No Question about it, Take it back to the shop.
If your hearing a loud thump after the install they need to fix the problem at no cost to you

I'd rather have the dust covers on if you're going to be driving the car much. Are you sure the creaking is coming from the strut and not the rear sway bar bushing like you found in your searches? My car used to creak pretty loud and it was just the bushings, louder than you would think

if the covers where on the struts when they came off i would want them to be on the new struts, they are not there for decoration. sounds to me they noticed it after they put it together and said fuggit.

Yeah, definitely going back for that. I'm going to grease the bushings tomorrow, and if that doesn't solve the noise, have them look at that too.
