New goodies on the SVT

Why didn't you just wait to post completed pictures? Stickers and old badges still visible on the trunk, console with missing cupholder, gray console, no jack covers all look ghetto.

Yeah, I mean I understand he says they are incomplete, but then why would you mount the console in the car unfinished? Just to remove it again for paint? :shrug:

Post pictures of the trunk lid as a new mod and say it's not done? :shrug:

Maybe I'm being harsh, but I just believe in doing things 100%, and only doing it one time, and then feel great about it after you look at the finished product. :cool:
 
Well, first of all when I posted pics yesterday, I was using a VERY weak connection and it took almost an hour just to upload those. For some reason it would not let me do the direct insert of the pics. As for the "In progress" part, I figured that you guys would like to know whats been goin on. Yes. I know I am missing jack point covers. Yes. I need to finish painting my dash (console itself will probably stay the same, minus a new shift boot and a shift knob.). Yes. The trunk is in HORRIBLE need of repainting, as is the entire car. I was merely showing off Tom's (ksContourkid) handiwork. It will be done this summer, so please bear with. It has been just flat too cold otherwise.

As for the shim question, no. The trunk fit perfectly with no modifications. We just had to spend a little extra time lining it up. I plan on getting new reflectors/reverse lights as the ones on there are very nasty, and it will be easier I think to just replace them.

I appreciate all the comments, and criticisms ( :laugh: ), and I expect more to come! As soon as I retrofit my SVT shift boot onto the pre98 console, and get a shift knob, I will post again.
