The story (short version)

About two weeks ago I came across a deal of a life time. I stumbled upon a 98 CSVT for $200! Now only $200 you would think its wrecked and just selling for parts..... wrong! This guy did not know exactly what he was getting rid of. The car is in perfect condition... almost looks like it just rolled off the show room floor! The only problem is a broken shifter cable! All the guy wanted was enough money for a scooter since he is moving to NYC. Crazy or what?

Need yalls help

On another note... I need some help. Ive gone to the links that this site has provided for parts and stuff but I cant find what im looking for. I need replacement screws for all of the interior and trunk. I guess when the guy dynomated the whole car he never put them back in... just kinda popped the plastic pieces back in. Not sure I wanna just buy reg screws, wanted to know if you could get them from like FORD or somewhere. Also, I wanna get some new (stock) side skirts. Anybody know where I can locate these parts on the Internet?

Performance

What are the most popular mods to do to the CSVT? Intake, exhaust, shifter, headers etc? Ive looked for those parts but I don't get much luck.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

check out teamfordparts.com for skirts and maybe the fasteners. I would just use regular screws if I were you, thats what mine look like anyway.
Sounds like you scored. Congrats.
Check out duratec performance section for info on mods, plenty of info on all that you mention there plus more.

How many miles does the CSVT have? I also agree that you should post some pics.

Not sure exactly what screws you need, but you could probably get them from a junkyard.

I would go to "You Wrench It" down there in Va Beach. You can basically pick up the screws and anything else you might need for next to nothing. There are usually a couple of contours out there, but you gotta pull the parts yourself so bring tools. Also check out the regional groups for meets and what not. Welcome

aren't SVT side skirts now "obsolete" from Ford (along with the radiotor)? Have either get used SVT or new SE ones.

You know the plastic that you put the carpet under around the edges. The plastic screws that you screw the to frame.

Welcome to CEG

Damn and I thought I got the best deal on mine when I picked it up for $600  and mine had a blown motor and no seats!

Congrats man. As for the screws just go to a junkyard and find any old contour/mystique and pull the screws you need. That will be the easiest way since you'll be able to grab the exact screws you'll need with no questions. Hopefully none of the fastners you are missing are the Midnight blue plastic screws, the paint that matches the MB interior is no longer available and MB interior isn't the easiest thing to find...

Good luck and post some pics when you get a chance!
