My friend just got a 98.5 svt with a spec II clutch with lightweight flywheel and has the torsion lock. Supposedly the clutch has 2k miles on it, but it feels like it grabs really high off the floor compared to his bmw 325i with a brand new clutch. Is this adjustable or normal?

Mine does the same thing. You only really have to push the pedal in an inch or so in order to disengage the clutch. It's slightly annoying at first but now I absolutely love it.

It is a Torsen T2 Diff - great upgrade for the POS diff that comes in these cars. It is a limited slip, tire pressure and proper alignment are crutial! Be careful with the stage 2, it is make of kevlar and is supposed to glaze if your not careful. Have fun with the new car - I love the clutch engagement, allows for hella fast shifting.

Yea umm a Torsen is not a locking differential!!!!! Last I checked it's an ATB. :help:
