I've just about had it with this car. I bought it May 3rd. I haven't even had it a month, and each week there has been something wrong with it. I'm sure you all remember the IAC issue. I fixed that, then there was the System too lean bank 2 issue, which turned out to be a dirty MAF. Now, the car won't stay running. I don't know what the hell is goin on with this car. There is no check engine light, it just won't stay running unless you give it gas.

Yeah thats not good...
It might be somthing with the MAF, did it start doing it right after you cleaned it?

also have you done a UIM/LIM rebuild? I probably would do that.

I'd check your IAC's "elbow" shaped hose, on the firewall side of the intake.

removing that will cause those exact symptoms.

Damn, we all must think alike! I changed the IAC Elbow today and it seems to be running fine. The one that was on there was a clear hose with flaking black crap (electical tape?) on it. So I went to Napa and got 3/4 I.D. heater hose to replace it. Now the one that was on there had a little copper cap with a hole in it, and I got a new cap and made a new hole, seems to be running great. What's the cap with the hole for?

Here are some pics.

gaskets, and removing carbon flaky build up.

Oh. and the cap is the "moose" fix. You obviously bought this from a prior CEG member.

It slows down air going through that tube to avoid a resonating, LOUD moose-call sounding horn-like noise, usually present in the mornings, or cold weather..

He told me he was a CEG-er but I never found him on here. So what's the benefit of that tube vs. the stock tube/baffle?
The copper cap fix is $0.35 cents. The bagpipe moose fix is $100. So is the "new 45 degree tube and IAC valve" fix.

Bagpipe Moose Fix? You mean buying a factory replacement? I have the stock baffle and whatnot here... The revs stayed quite high for a longer period of time when I had the stock baffle and miles of tubing on there.

In your case, for cheap and effective, get the OEM 45 degree bend hose from Ford ($15) and then install the copper cap again.
