Name the model of this car

after you guess correctly, either verified by whoever posted the picture, or by you or someone else posting the full picture of the portion that was used, you have 1 hour to put up a new picture for people to guess. after that hour the floor is open for anyone to post a picture and the game continues.

ooooooooh, i see. didnt know that was one of the rules.

Just to keep things going, I thought a cut in line was in order:shrug:

Since I dont know which one to do I figure I'll just knock one out, then we are down to one to work on.
BMW 2000CS

Mark guessed my pic already,,,,,urrrrr, looked it up, it was the 72' BMW 3.0CS, so it looks like I need to stop taking pics at my work and move onto something else:shrug::laugh:

OK image has been recropped.

Here is the hint:
This historically named car was designed as a "feeler" to gauge public reaction prior to announcing the return of one of the greatest auto marques in history with a similar looking concept car design that later went into production.

Since I have everyone thoroughly stumped I'll add another image...

this is the recropped original:

here is a partial of the front end:

ok we've been working on this car for damn near a week. EVERY concept car is a "feeler" car. Relaunching of a marquis... that could mean anything. The only hint out of that is that it has likely existed as a model before. But you could also be saying that it is being used to relaunch a brand name. So it could be a new model... which brings us back to square one..
"with a similar looking concept car design that later went into production."
So it never even went into production? some other concept by this same company went into production? thats not a hint, thats just confusing.
And your response of "nope" to everybodys guesses sure isn't helping either.

So how about a useful hint because I think people are losing interest.
