Well the time has come to replace our 04' Ranier with something more reliable and that day was Wednesday. I have a laundry list of complaints about our old vehicles electrical system and some truely disturbing dealership customer service stories to match, like this one (please, allow me to vent) Last summer during the Fourth of July weekend the Ranier starting blowing smoke through its vents and squeaking from under the hood, this was July 3rd, a Monday and when she called the dealership (Jeffery Buick) they told her this "can you bring it in on Wednesday so we don't have to pay for an extra days rental for you?". When my wife told me this that was it, I called the dealership and told them this "you should be rolling out the red carpet for you customers and be wearing Air Jordan kneepads". This is a $42K SUV and I thought we'd get taken care of better than that. My wife has been a loyal GM person since I've known her and thats over 10 years now. The funny thing is that her best car, the 96' Prizm, had 96K on the clock and all we had to replace was the battery and started in over 5 years/96K on the clock. Then we had the Trailblazer, not bad considering it had just come out around Sept 11th and then we "treated ourselves" to the best, the Buick Ranier:rolleyes: I make no apologies for getting this ride, don't care if its Japanese, nothing, to firetrucking bad GM!

Ah, now I feel better and without further to do, here it is....

Look, an RX-8 is trying to drive out of the truck! NO!, its a 2007 CX-7 Grand Touring w/ AWD!

The tailights are truely a work of art IMO and with the design inside, makes them look like LEDs!

Even in their SUV's, just look at how sporty the interior is, sharp!

IMO these wheels look like something found on a concept car, very sharp IMO but could stand to be a bit larger and not have the "official tire of everything ever made" on them (Goodyear Eagle RS'A's)

It was pretty clean when I took the pics, but getting dark so sorry about that but you get the idea. Its rated at 244 hp and 258 ft/lbs of torque and feels like every bit of it for sure! I'm going to run it at Ubly Dragway in the spring and its supposed to run a 16.0@89mph, so we shall see about that. The Grand Touring package consists of HIDs that you can adjust yourself, a really cool feature, something not found on anything in this dollar amout and I'm replacing the ugly foglight bulbs with some H11's that are truely yellow, giving it a distictive look. I really like the gas mileage compared to her old truck, something that struggled to get 13 in the city, this ride is rated at 18/24, something that shouldn't be too hard in the hands of my wife (but then again, she's never had something with ZOOM-ZOOM:cool:

Whats the deal w/ car manufacturers and all these new cars coming out w/ taillights that "try to mimic LED's". There are more and more every day. Just put LED's in there from the factory! They cost like $1/each. Or maybe LED's can only be used in high end cars . They probably spend more $ developing a lamp that looks like LED's than it would cost to put them there to begin with.

P.S. nice ride :).

Great ride. I had a blast ripping around in one of those at Zoom Zoom Live. Decent power, decent room, great handling.

I would buy a CX-7 if they came with a manual transmission option.

Then again, I would drive an automatic CX-7 if it were given to me....want to race my Mazda 6s for pink slips?!?!?!?!?

A Rainer is 42k???!!!!!!!! Much better replacement.

Well we leased it but I think the price was actually $41K or so and could've been more had we sprung for the V8 and Nav! The new GMC Acadia (a VERY sharp SUV also) can be ordered up enough for it to cost $44K, I can only imagine what the Buick Enclave is going to cost, atleast another $2-3K:eek: Initially it looks like the new GMC crossovers (Outlook, Acadia and Enclave) have the quality, looks and options to compete with expensive Japanese and European rivals.

Thanks for all the compliments so far guys and BTW, I took the CX-7 in today to have the side windows tinted (20%) so it matches the rest of the ride and it really makes a difference. Now if I can just talk her into letting me get some summer rims/tires for it:help: Our family is turning into "Zoom-Zoom":

-2004 RX8 is owned by my Godchilds Dad
-2005 Mazda 3 is owned by my wifes cousin
-2007 CX-7 our family

I'm also looking to get out of my lease and into a MS6, seriously!, stay tuned:laugh:

The color is called...

The color is called...

Galaxy Gray (I've gotten a couple PM's about it) and the brouchure and/or Mazda's website pics doesn't do it any justice because its got a little bit of pearl in it. I can't wait to do an all out detail on it with Klasse:drool:

her best car was a 96 Prizm, well obviously... Thats just a Toyota corolla in Geo/chevy drag and for cheaper.

Nice pick, the CX-7 has always been high up on my list of SUVs. I see them EVERYWHERE now, too bad you have to put Premium gas in them :(

Premium gas is a small sacrifice.

[IMO]I think that thing is uglier than ****. The taillights look like they are made out of tupperware plastic. It's as if they simply inflated the RX-8 using the liquify tool in photoshop and built that. It's a damn cloud car that thinks it's an SUV. I think my biggest peeve is the little wheels that were lifted off a base model Civic.[/IMO]

I'm sure it's a nice car, but I can't stand looking at them. Should be a fine match for the Crossfire :p

If Galaxy gray is the same gray also available on the Tribute, then it's what Ford calls Liquid Grey, it seems to have a pearlescent effect to it almost. I ordered a set of Mazda tribute doorhandles which I thought would be a bit off (they use Focus handles) but they match up perfectly.

Get a Mazdaspeed 3 Roger, you know you want to.

It's better looking than the hideous Tribeca

Why not? Mazda's kick ass. I took my brother's Mazda 6s for a spin last weekend, I love it. Whats cool about it is in some ways it really reminds me of my old contour. but it handles, performs and looks better.

The Rx-8 is an incredible car too, you can find them dirt cheap and you get so much with them. Plus they are WAY cheaper then a 350Z and they are just as fast, round a track they are just as fast as a BMW m3.

I don't see them everywhere, where do you live, near Flatrock where they ship them to:confused: and as far as premium gas goes, well I know your a college student now but have you seen gas prices around here lately? We paid $1.96 for premium at Costco today and whether the price is $1.96 or $3.96 it almost always .20 cents more for premium, so thats a whole $1.00 for every 5 gallons, not really alot of money when you think about it. I love the Lienarts in the Detroit News when they have the "He drove, she drove" section and they mention the very same thing. I even remember reading when they brought this up when talking about the new Jag. Do you really think the average Jag owner cares about $3.00 to $4.00 more a fill up:rolleyes:

As far as the Mazdaspeed 3 goes, I'm not sure if the styling would grow on me but I'm sure some tints and black rims w/ polished lip would really help on a black mica MS3:drool:
