I guess I have to do this sooner or later so I might as well just get it out of the way! 
First of all, I would like to thank everyone who has sent me emails, PMs, IMs, phone calls, etc. with words of encouragement & congratulations. I do really appreciate it very much. I would also like to thank Lance for considering me as a worthy successor to his legacy & Rara for backing me for the job.
Now on to the CEG...
I would like to make it clear that I am not Lance Kinley, my attitude, thoughts, interpretations, and visions regarding this site are different then what most people have grown accustomed to over the years. Throughout the many years as being a moderator I had always been the "troublemaker" of the group and always was willing to be the devil's advocate in various situations. (I guess that comes from being part of the EGL branch since we're all troublemakers over there !
) My point is, is that I haven't changed all that much. As some people know, I'm not afraid to argue or defend my position publicly so if you're looking for a fight you may want to look elsewhere! LOL
As for me and how I plan on running things... I'm not one to stay hidden and unreachable, I'm on here almost every day and usually for considerable lengths of time, my PM box is never full and although I may not have the time to drop everything at that particular moment I do try and handle any question or concern that may come my way. If someone is being dumb, I'm not afraid to tell them. I'm also one to recognize the good things that go on around here and make note of it. I may not see everything on this board and I definitely don't know or recognize every person on here, but I do have a damn good staff of Moderators & Super Moderators that keep on top of things!! So if I'm not available for some reason definitely contact one of them.
Changes... As with any change of management there are bound to be changes made that may be for the better and may not always be liked or understood. Thats life as we know it, if I could please everyone I'd be doing more in this world then just running the CEG!! If a change is made that you don't disagree with then take it to PM's or emails. If you decide to jump on a soap box and voice your opinion publicly then you are going to get a public response that you aren't going to like and you'll be less likely to have any effect on the situation. Basically you need to be professional about it in order to get a diplomatic response.
There are changes in the works, some have already taken place and i would like to address them.
Some of you may notice some people posting that have different color user names. This was done to make it easier to find a moderator, Super Mod, or Admin.
Moderators are Green
Super Moderators are Gray
Administrators are Black
There is a new user infraction & warning system that is in place.
Warnings are now tracked by the board software, it lets us know who's been warned, how many times, and by who.
Infractions work pretty much the same way, however, they add points to said user's profile which leads to an automatic timeout when preset point levels have been reached during a predetermined time period.
This reduces the risk of personal grudges or feelings effecting the user being disciplined. At the same time it also holds people to a specific punishment until its completed.
In the near future you're going to see some rearranging of the current forums and possibly the addition of some new ones. Don't be alarmed if something isn't where you are used to it being!!
There are going to be some rule updates, revisions, additions & possibly subtractions as well, either Rara or myself will post an announcement when these changes take place.
