Well i have been thinking about doing the Hightower mod..I seen randys svt at the FL meet the other week and liked them alot..Seen another post just the other day with some pictures.Just feel in love with them..So i went out got some silicone to reseal them when i was done,Since i have the paint to paint them..I know i could have striped the chrome off but i didnt have anything at the time to strip them so i just painted..Well i sealed them up pretty nice i hope for no leaks im going to test for leaks tomorrow..And fix any i might have...Well heres some pictures of the finally product..Take a look..Post comments..If your not a fan of them dont post rude comments please..
Yes theres a hairdryer in the the pictures..Since i have depot headlights i found out witch dont bother me they look just fine they were easy to get into to..If anyone needs info on how-to..its fairly easy..PM me.I know OEM headlights are harder to get into a will require baking open..

looks nice, although I love what puddles did and instead of black, he did a charcoal color, that imo looks sweet. Also it be awesome if you had the eyelids inside the lens

You mean the silicone in charcoal?.Instead of black..I had the eyelids on before i did this..No big deal does anyone have pictures of the eyelids on the inside of the headlights?

^^^I just relized what you were talking about..I didnt have any charcoal paint just black..Yeah it IMO would look nicer..Oh well..

dont mean to hijack, but outlawds are painted behind the lens, which is what I meant with inside the lens

Yeah ive seen that svt before looks extremely nice..Nice drop right rims.His headlights look nice..But i dont think it would look right on the silver frost color..IMO.If i had a black one then i would'nt mind doing that..
 
Ok well today i tested for leaks had a few.I went and got some GE silicone 2 or II..Forget.And smeared that all over and in the little cracks and all.Anyone have a better idea as to what would be better.
 
Take some clear plastic wrap and wrap all the way around the headlight, along the seam. Cut the plastic wrap lengthwise so it is about 3/4" wider than the seam. Make sure you have one piece long enough to go all the way around the lens along the seam. Take that hair dryer to it and it will shrink up and form a nice seal. Do that ON TOP of your silicone.
 
Well after this i dont have any leaks but this clear plastic wrap where can it be found..Is there a name for it or just plastic wrap.
 
Yeah selling your headlights now too.I remember seeing your car forsale when the turbo was on it then you took that off and tryed to sell it?..Well my headlights are like brand new 6-7months old..Cost me around 10-15bucks to do this hightower mod..

Cars gone, turbo kit is gone, all mods gone. Sold her stock. I have new toys to play with now.
Its a good set of lights, and some people dont want to do them, have the skills to make them or want to take the time to make them. This is the last piece of the car left. You all enjoy your Contour's, I did. -B.
