My New Ford

I'm going to go ahead and ventur to guess that none of the people saying that V6s suck have actually driven one. I drove '99 V6 on a test drive while I was looking for my current car, and I must say; that car sounded and performed WAYY better than I expected. They're quick cars that certainly sound good.

The 99's had a fairly large hp increase (up to almost 200 I think) from the 145 or so the older ones had. And I have driven both. Handling does suck in both of them.

The weight distribution in the V6 is great. Upgrade the suspension a bit and they handle so much better than the GT.

MY mustang is better than MY contour. i dont understand why you dont believe me. if you know how to control it, the RWD mustang is much better in the snow imo.

You must have a lot of driving experience in the snow to make this statement. We got several inches last Sunday here at home and I had to drive to work in the stuff... I wouldn't have even remotely thought about driving my Mustang in it. The Contour made it's way through the snow on the road with no effort whatsoever.

Of course I left out the part that my Mustang makes over three times the power to the wheels than what the Contour does

I'm going to be honest right now... rims suck, v6 sucks, color sucks... overall the whole car sucks... Your old csvt on the other hand, that thing looks SICK!

she has a kid now, dude.

 so a 2 door rwd mustang is better then a 4 door fwd contour for a kid? lol

I've gotta agree with Rawburt here. My sister has a 1 year old with a 2 door Acura CL. Granted, she had the car way before she had the kid, having to get a baby in and out of a 2 door gets old and tiresome.

The emissions guy today said he would buy it from me for $3,500 cash right now... lol...

You should keep lol'ing all the way to the bank... seriously.

My uncle works at a well known Ford dealership in this area and said he could sell it for $6,995 right now.

There's a sucker born every second. It's time to capitalize on one of them.

145hp + 205 width snow tires + sand in the trunk = no :censored::censored::censored::censored: it's easy to get around in. As long as you don't have to be the fastest on the highway and have some sense of understanding how to drive in snow, it's not difficult to drive a rwd car at all. But try telling that to the dumb :censored::censored::censored::censored:s all over the side of the highway when there's 2" of snow on the ground.

I'm glad I could contribute to one of this girl's plain-Jane posts reaching 100+ replies.

RWD in snow in general isn't as tough as people seem to think. Like stated above me, you just have to use your damn head and not try to be a rocket ship.

Yeah but '99s got a nice 40hp boost from 150hp to 190hp that makes a big difference in my opinion. but still I love the 94-98 mustangs minus the 94-95 taillights. and yes the 3.8s had problem with puking head gaskets.... but what would you have 150hp 3.8 or a 90hp 2.3? really that car will look sweet with some bigger rims which you could find with tires for $300-$500 can you say bullitt/cobra/cobra R/ stock GT/ etc

me personally I gotta have a 5spd and a super coupe motor.
