Bought a cheap kit of ebay, all was good. I park my car for the winter, but I decided to take it out for a quick spin tonight. Flick them on and one stops working. No power to the ballast. I'm pissed... Go ahead and say I told ya so

I really cant say much Rawburt now can I?

I just hope this is a lesson to you that you get what you pay for and that im an HID nazi for a reason. Try to see if they are still under any sort of warranty. Check all the connections to see if there are any corrosion or something. Also see nothing is burned out. Winter is the time when, in my case, my HID's give out a more subtle white-blue color..I love it, plus the cold start is the best cause they are deeeep blue upon startup
It be wise next time to invest in

How is that wiring harness configured? Is it drawing power from the 9005 plugs or from the battery itself?

Like you said though, sounds like the ballast is shot, but I'll be nice and keep my mouth shut. :o

Told ya so? c'mon.... we're above that :)

You know who to come to when you're ready to do it right. Hell Ill even help you find something that will work sans projectors :).

But I want you to remember, you are now in the hole 200. Instead of doing it right the first time.

Yeah my cheap ebay HID's changed colors on me, one when bright white the other stayed white with a blue tint, The bulbs are getting replaced though for the price of shipping, I noticed the bulb that went white had moisture in it. Heres a pic of the difference

His ebay name is nissangtrpower, his companys name is Top Speed Racing
and his number is 916-429-1333, I paid $140 shipped for everything.

If the ballast isnt getting power it sounds like the problem is before the HID pieces, not after. Or do you mean the electrical output from the ballast is 0?

Its probably trying to pull power from the stock wiring harness.... not a good idea.
