Well the SVT had its first accident today.

Long story short. Pulling up to a yeild sign, I yeild/stopped for on coming traffice and the dude behind me decided that yielding was optional. The bright side I didn't get pushed into traffic where the car probably would have been totaled.

If that's the worst that ever happens :shrug: .Be glad that's all it was
 
That stinks...

On an off topic aspect...I was looking to pick up the Droid X on Thursday (Incredible is back ordered to August) :(

I think it is against the law in some states to "pick up" a droid.
To the OP, sorry about your mishap. It seems a lot of driving by the rules has become optional.
 
i've almost been in that dudes situation many times

where i'm looking to the left and can see no cars coming.. and the guy in front of me, turning right.. rolls somewhat past the yield sign then freaks out and stops when he could clearly go

so many drivers just aren't aware of what's going on around them

Currently waiting to get a call from the insurance company. I will be going to get quotes with in a week or so. I'm also going to see if I can find a place that does rust work and have some of my own work done around the same time.
 
I've been "that guy" before...rolled up to a yield, person in front of me was yielding, they started going so I started rolling forward while looking over my left shoulder to see if there was any traffic, there wasn't so my foot found its way to the gas pedal and as I was looking forward again I realized that the car in front of me was still yielding, I didn't do as much damage as that guy did though, sorry to hear about that.

^^ I do the same thing all the time. My biggest problem is that I'm a very presumptuous driver. I'm always rolling into right turn red lights, check for traffic *before* I get there, that way I can go right when I get there. I do make a full stop, but man, when I'm behind some one else, I'm assuming they're going to do the same thing... Then I end up pounding the brakes because they're driving out of their rear view or waiting to make a complete stop, *then* look for traffic when I would have been gone by then! :D
