My 86...

I would like to replace the pulleys with some light weight ones. Super rare, expensive JDM Jubiride makes a set in gold. :D I will take the crank pulley back off and clean it up, I did just throw it on. And yeah Roger, the oil pump is nasty. I did clean the sh it out of it though. The water pump I'm thinking about slapping a new one on, since that is the original one off my original 86 motor lol.
 
Yeah I hear ya. :p If it ain't broke ya know. At least for now. I just want to get it put together and running. Then I can throw in some new pullies and cams. I know the limit of this engine will be the camshafts.
 
Thanks. Finished the engine today. Just need a hoist to install the flywheel, clutch, and trans, then set on the car.
I'm thinking about taking the inner timing cover off since I have my gears adjusted to where they need to be. I am also planning on wrapping the header in white exhaust wrap.

And don't get it twisted, the dirty head standing up on the work bench in the last pic is for parts. That's not on the motor. So a little run down of what's up:

7AGE hybrid engine
Ported blue top 4AGE head
Bored and stroked 7AFE bottom
Mikuni 44phh carbs
TRD intake manifold
OBX exhaust manifold
MSD 6AL
all new seals and gaskets
 
Yeah I know everybody hated that AE86 from Knoxville a while ago with no exhaust. Hopefully mine won't be that loud. I have 2 cat delete pipes: Illegal Garage flex pipe and HKS test pipe. The HKS test pipe is pretty rough, my plan is to cut the HKS pipe in half and use the flange to run a straight pipe to a resonator and then a muffler. I won't bother going over the diff like a stock exhaust, plus my car is too low for that anyways. I can't see spending $3-600 for an exhaust that 1) I can make and 2) I'm going to tear up anyways since my car is low as sh it.
 
Yeah man one of those would be perfect. I want to run two VW Beetle style long ass mehaphone tips anyways, so that would work perfect with the dual outlet. And all my pipes (header, down pipe, flex pipe, cat delete) are all 2.5". I'll hit you up one of these days.

Karen is having Dude tomorrow, so I'll just be sitting around at hospital for a bit.
