more idle and fluctuating rpm problems

One more thing, they also said that the fluctuation in idle could be the MAF as well. Recommend changing and possibly striking up a deal where maybe u can return it if it's not right.

Ok so maybe I lied.

Ok so maybe I lied.

So my car is not driving for me anymore but it is still not 100% right yet. Like I said I replaced the maf and I am now going to try replacing the idle air control valve (IAC) as well. Will def keep u posted if it cures the problem. I would recommend however atleast cleaning the elements inside the maf b4 u actually replace it.

So if I may ask... when the car is idling and you unplug the MAF, if it is working the car should die?

If the MAF is working and you unplug it with the vehicle running, it will start running really rough, because it reverts to default tables, it probably won't die but the idle will be noticeably rougher, if there's no change with it unplugged, then the MAF is not working.

I am currently idling around 1500 to 2K..with very slow drop to correct 750 idle.. My temp is getting hott..and I can feel the heat off the engine is pretty hot.. coolant levels are fine.. no leaks.. replaced IAC 2 days ago. Replaced MAF and now at least the engine doesnt just die. but coming to nuetral Throttle hang exisst...however the previous owner put in the copper cap w a hole in it in a hose coming from the intake to the Intake manifold... All I can think of is a leaky UIM gasket??? Help.. Im almost at a loss..
