in a nutshell its a 2.0 blacktop zetec with a T28 turbo, large saab 9000 intercooler, megasquirt engine management, koni shocks/springs, 300mm focus SVT front brakes, RS bodykit with laguna front splitter, fiesta RS turbo bonnet vents, bucket seats, and genuine 18 x 8J Dymag alloys used on the works mondeo touring cars in the 1993/94 BTCC seasons (which have been converted to 4-stud)

sorry the pics are big, shame the forum doesnt auto-resize them isnt it lol

I agree i do like the exhaust on the diesal.

and whats wrong with mine?

Fix up the wheel well rust, clean the coolant tank, and get a dual exhaust on it. Then it will look very nice.

Yeah, certainly an interesting choice on the wheels, lol. I like the Cossie-style wheels in the construction pic.

Oh, and the brembo stickers/lettering on the stock FSVT calipers is hilarious to me.

And I've seen enough crash testing and rollovers that running fixed-back seats on a car without a cage or rollover bar scares the crap out of me.

Overall though, I like the car :D

cheers guys!

the grey mondy with the exhausts is a petrol (supercharged zetec), not a diesel.

the touring car wheels arent exactly the prettiest design, but here in the UK the touring car mondeo's have a bit of a cult following so to me its a nice bit of ford motorsport history, and the super-light-weight and 8J width comes in handy. the white old-school motorpsort style wheels are getting quite hip here in the UK anyway lol. i think the wheels will look better when i have slammed the car on coilovers. i do have another set of 18's for it anyway which are a more sexy style, but at 7.5J width the traction isnt as good.

a half roll-cage is coming later this year. i've got to get a paddle clutch and a LSD first though.

i'm still not convinced on the big exhaust, it was on when i bought the car. i might fit a smaller one. twin exits dont work so well on turbo's though.

Its just a 4cyl Zetec no need really for a Dual exhaust??..
Uless your going for style and looks..
2.5 cat-back would do that car good..And your choice of mufflers/resonators.
actually a 3" exhaust would be the best. although for a t28 a 2.5" works just fine.

over here none of the big powered cosworth turbo's use twin exit exhausts, very few big powered jap turbo cars do either

maybe its because they are all such puny little 4 cylinder cars which only need a pea-shooter haha

its already got a V6 exhaust system with the silencers bypassed, a decat, and a modified rover 820 downpipe, going to a turbo-technics exhaust manifold. but i want to change to 3" stainless steel system.

YA. I love the wheels. And the exhaust looks just fine. Maybe go a bit smaller, but duals just dont look good on 4cyl tours/mondys IMHO:shrug:  . Sick car

Oh, and who installed your steering wheels? They got it all wrong. Why did you let them put them on the wrong side of the cars?

Although I understand the historical significance and I don't mind the look of the wheels I have to say that redrill looks a bit scary. Doesn't look like there is much material there for the lugs to seat to.
