As was stated in the other thread...

When: Saturday, May 10th at 10AM
Where: My house in Coon Rapids, MN (PM for exact address)
Why: To help everyone install any parts, modifications to their car before Spring Zing
How: Using all of the tools I have in my garage: 60gal air compressor, complete set of air tools (including power sprayer for washing), full mechanic tool set, many automotive speciality tools (PM for specifics if needed), blast cabinet, powder coating kit, engine hoist, creeper, roller seat and a 3 1/2 ton jack with four solid jack stands... I think I got everything.

With that who is planning on coming over? I'd like to have an idea on what to expect so I can plan for it. Thanks!

Well...I won't be able to get off of work until 4pm unless I call in sick, which definitely is a possibility, but my question is, would I still be able to swing by and get my separator done if I were to show up around say...5ish?

Hmm... kinda push'n it. The wife to be would like to go out that night. I was thinking we would head out for dinner around 6pm.

As long as we have everything to get the job done it shouldn't take that long. However I'd like to have some buffer time just in case $hit hits the fan.

Gotcha, I will probably call in then which would mean that I could be up there around...well, whenever I felt like showing up. So that would work.

So, who knows how to change out the suspension on a car? :) Cause I might come down for that. fishing opener and all.

Who is going to be there for sure?

How much of the suspension are you talking? Struts? Sway bars? A little more info would dictate whether it could be completed or not. Keep in mind once you swap out suspension you would need an alignment too...

Yeah...springs and struts. I figured it would be cheaper for me to go down there than have a garage up here work on it. $80 gas down and back and getting to know how to do it is better than $140 for the shop.

He's talking struts/springs front and rear. You guys shouldn't have a problem with that ;)

Your right we won't as long as everything comes apart nicely.

Still though that's a fairly in depth job. Make sure if your coming to come early. Like right at 10am. If we are going to tackle that I want to make sure we have enough time. Not to mention if we find more crap wrong where we need to run to the parts store to pickup something like a ball joint, tie rod end or maybe a sway bar end link they'll still be open so we can do it.

I'll have to make sure my brother brings up the spring compressors when he comes.

If he can't I have two sets...they are Harbor Freight specials, but they did the trick for me, even though I was very scared when the bolts started bowing.
