Micah pre-98 front bumper

micah was a good guy from what i could tell when i met him,he helped me trim the bumper and helped me fit it in his driveway. he did get alot of crap from people on the boards, and did mess up(both the design and not shipping out) but he did give up alot to get these made,he had to sell off alot of his own personal belongings to make this happen..he even sold his own personal bumper to satisfy people:shrug:
the last i talked to him...like year.year and a half ago he was looking for another tour.

Micah's..... eeeeek!

Micah's..... eeeeek!

I had one.... good at the time kuz there was nothing else available, but like 95pgt-t said, too much work to make it look good. You have to make your own brackets for the grille & fogs, and the prep work for painting took me almost 2 days by itself :nonono:. Mine was smashed into a lift with ramps at the local tire shop, kuz they are morons, and it snapped in half when I shmucked a raccoon. I sold it to "dtour", it sold to someone in Minnesota, they sold it to pre98, and I think he still has it. I looked good for a very short time. $400 for the micah bumper plus the prep and paint. Expensive fo sho.....

Mikey Boy (m!key now) and I were the ones going to get the M3 molded to our pre98 tops. The bumpers would need to be cut in so many pieces to work that it was going to be $1,000+ by the time we bought the bumpers, had them cut and molded, and painted. Not worth it. SOOOO, we went with the molded mirko for thinkmoto, molded svt lower for mine, and a molded svt lower and mirko for m!key. I still have my molded on my car, todras has m!key's bumper and I am not sure where thinkmoto's molded mirko bumper ended up.....

Yeah. Too bad the M3 bumper didn't workout.

I also remember him having a Mondeo bumper. Whatever happened with that?

Micah's bumper were made from my old front bumper. I drove it up with Matt Galusha, in his SVT. That was a fun ride, seeing his car with the damn bumper as his passenger. Good times.

Yep, m!key boy had the mondy front bumper and he decided to not go that route, so he sold it off. Not sure where it is.

Nice to know I am remembered

Nice to know I am remembered

Although I didnt make everyone happy, I did make it possible. Just so you all know I was about 8k of my own money when it was all said and done. I didnt make a penny on that, instead found things of my own to sell just to make it possible, I know atleast 2 people got screwed out of it besides me and I am sorry for the people that took a lose with me. I couldnt afford to take any more of a hit to my account, as it was I was getting tickets for driving around with no front bumper, as that bumper went to a buyer. An update the tool that was made is still around although I dont own it still, 3500 still left on the tool, I walked away from the company that was building them and they put me in collections which I refuse to pay. At this point that company is out of buisness and I am looking to get the tool for free, if I do if anyone wants it, it is theres. The molding was horrible I would agree to many dings and air pockets, Not that I could do anything about that, no matter what came out I had to pay for, and they told me thats the best they could do. Again sorry to the people that felt they got screwed or anything else, Negative or positive I am glad my name is still in mention :)

Update on me, I have Peter Tampas's Mystique, it is parked and I will be working on it this summer. Still looking for a svt tour to mess around with.

Micah

I have personally wanted to say thanks for doing what you have for the pre98 crowd. Like I said, I had one, it was good for its time and is still the only option besided molding two bumpers together . Takes a lot for someone to dive that deep into something and not know the outcome. No hard feelings, just good learning experiences and some less filled wallets.... - JOE
