meshed my grille

nice work but it doesn't look that good. would have been better wet sanding the headlights, imho.

I never liked gutter guard as grill mesh.

That does look good! I would have left the ford emblem off, or moved it to one side but that's just me, Also you going to mesh the bumper opening?

Yes wet sanding the headlights is on the list, but I figure ill do it when I hightower while they are off the car. I am going to mesh the lower opening as well, along with the SVT bumper I've got in the garage after I sand prime and paint it to match. And anyways I think it looks better than it did before, the guy who owned it before put that stickon chrome trim on every slat... the ford logo may move in the future, right now its trying to cover a bit of the beige plastic piece from i think the hood latch behind it until I paint it black.

not bad. what did u use & how did u mount it to the oval?
Gutter guard, I trimmed the guard with a dremel and a pair of dikes, (good klein dikes from my past job work wonders on anything) and used a razor to cut the melt tabs off, along with gashing my thumb wide open, that I used super glue to repair :) . I then used screws to mount the black ring to the tabs on the chrome oval.

kool. i think i may need to look into something like that, wanna do the mesh but dont wanna spend alot & cuz my bumper mesh is snapped in half & zipped tied together.

Hopefully you got a piece long enough to go across the whole svt front bumper, I did this and couldn't find any long enough. So I sectioned it in, its now painted black and not really noticeable. (Yes I have a crack in the bumper...)

i picked this mesh up from home depot pretty cheap. I did the grille and bumper. I couldn't find mesh long enough for the bottom section so if you look closely in the very middle i welded the two mesh pieces together to be one whole piece. dousn't look too bad in my opinion.

yeah mine is an SE that I am putting the SVT rear bumper on, I read somewhere it was doable but near impossible to install an SVT front bumper, so I decided to leave the stock one on, I know, goes against it all, but right now thats what I can afford.

My silver contour is a sport with an svt front and back bumper. They both fit on with no problems at all.

really? I remember reading a whole story about having to cut a good SE bumper and a good SVT bumper lengthwise in half and mold them together, something about not fitting with the grille and headlights, unless I misread it and that is only for the pre-98 versions..... if that is the case ill have to track one down now
