Meh

Drove a couple cars today. I like doing that. '09 VW GTI ThunderBunny edition. I've driven tons of GTI's and a couple R32's so it's no different. '09 is the last of the MK5 body style and this one had the ThunderBunny body kit; which is the same as the TDi Cup kit. The dealer did have a TDI Cup Jetta but I didn't feel like waiting forever to drive it, although I kinda regret it now. :( TDI Cup's are super rare and have pretty cool graphics on the sides. I wandered around a couple more car lots, was going to drive a '99 911 Carrera but the sales guy I was talking to (and have dealt with in the past) was getting chewed out about something on the phone for like an hour so I left. So I went to the Nissan dealer to look at a Juke. I f'in love the Nissan Juke no joke. Ugly from every angle, I drove a black top-level with a 6-speed manual FWD. AWD is only availible on automatic models, which is only availible in the middle and top level trim. The base model is an automatic FWD only and doesn't come with the super insane I-CON system. What's ICON? It's badarse. You can adjust your boost pressure (just like the commercial!!) from normal to eco to sport. I didn't bother with eco, of course, but in normal mode it's very responsive. But put it in sport and it's super go time. Boost goes up and throttle and steering responses sharpen. The 1.6L twin cam makes 188hp and 177tq. The mid-level you would want starts right at 20 grand. The base model is CVT automatic only without the cool computer thingy. The mid level is nice, the top one comes with the bangin stereo. I never even turned on the radio, the engine noises were too nice. :)

I'm glad the Juke lives up to its reputation. Just saw the I-CON system (here) and that is pretty badass. The back-end of it reminds me of the Volvo C30 but my god what happened to the front. Hopefully it lives long enough for a design change.

Yeah the I-CON seemed pretty complicated and sophisticated at the same time. Hell it's got a G-meter!

X-mas lists are lame. I give away whatever I find in the house I'm tired of tripping over.
