As the title states my megafuse keeps blowing when I connect the positive cable to battery terminal. This problem occurred when I pulled my engine out to replace my clutch and slavecylinder. I've had my engine out several times with out this issue and I've replaced my 98 EO harness with and updated 99 harness from Sam I've also checked all my grounds and made sure the main positive cable isn't grounding out on anything also the alternator was tested and in working shape before engine was pulled and the battery is new. I've done everyrhing that I can think of but I figured maybe someone else had an idea.

Im gonna say it, are you sure it's the right size fuse?? Just try another one to make sure. you never know..

Put a voltmeter on the positive side cable while it is not attached to the battery, and one to ground. Set it to continuity and see if it beeps. As long as it beeps you have a short to ground somewhere. Just follow the wire until you find where it touches metal or where it touches some other wire which is a ground. My guess is a wire was pulled out of the insulation and is touching something metal. Has to be the main power lead or the alternator lead.

I'll give that a shot but the power lead visuallly looks fine but if the test shows that it's grounding possibly I'll be pulling that out next.
