alright, ive searched and still havent got a clue so...im trying to figure out what magnaflow resonator part # i need if i want to put the resonator in where the one is located under like the driver/passenger seats.and do i need to get a straight threw one or an offset one?

by the way i have a 00' csvt.

The 10445 is a good choice, but being a 14" body will be shorter than the stock res. The 10435 is a 22" body, same 2.25" in/out with 2.5" core.

The longer res will give you a deeper tone, but will be quieter. The shorter res will likely require a small extra section of straight pipe to be welded in to compensate for the shorter res...

And here is how it will sound, I just did mine this past saturday (please excuse the sound quality, it was with my digital camera)

i actually just installed 10425 on mine, it's an 18" core and i'm glad i did. much quieter since i have a bat y-pipe and now i even have the much need back pressure that my car seems to need. btw, my car sounded so ricey without the resonator.

I got sick of the drone on my 18 inch mag resonator. SO i installed the stock one again :blackeye:

70mphs and drone like crazy. I can't find a solution other than the stock resonator to keep the drone gone.

Yes it would cause it would calm the sound down more, and ditch the mufflers.

I need msds headers and y pipe but am waiting till I go turbo to do all that.

You ever consider trying a Borla res? They're typically a little quieter than most of the other options, but still have a nice deep growl.

To be honest with you, Borla is rather expensive. If it does the job i don't mind spending the money. I would hate to spend it and find out it didn't do any better than a magnaflow.

Unless, you have some prior experience with a borla resonator you might share with me.

I also just thought about putting a muffler in its place.??

Not specifically with their resonators, but I've had their cat-backs on pretty much every vehicle I've owned. Like I said, they're typically a little quieter than most other cat-backs, but with a deep, low growl. My SVT has headers and no cat and sounds surprisingly good; deep and aggressive with no rasp/drone whatsoever.
I see what you're saying about not spending the money on it without knowing for sure. You could always unload it in the classifieds though.

See with me having headers and no main cat with stock resonator. I rasp like crazy? Most people on here do too. How come you don't.?

Also can you send me a link to this borla resonator you have on your car?

i have headers, no 3rd cat and a cherry bomb and its got some damn deep tone! does have a bit of 3K rpm rasp that id like to ditch.

future mods will be a optimized y pipe to a high flow cat with a big magnaflow muffler, then warlock openable mufflers at the back that way i cant take out the cores and it will be like straight pipes, and then for long drives i can but them back in and have mufflers.

I'll try to look up what resonator came with their catback, if I can even find that info. The mufflers towards the tips may play a part in that too. That may be an option for you too, replacing the stock mufflers with something like Borlas or Magnaflows.
