Looks pretty sweet, you can get a scytek add-on GPS tracking for it and issue command via phone or internet.... nice piece... also can get a siren and make it play pretty much any sound you want....

On the other hand though, I don't like brands I've never heard of.... I'm a huge fan of Directed electronics.... mostly the viper brand since that's what we install, although the other installer I know does python... same thing, slightly differnet remotes and names.. bout it.... You can get a directed window control module as well as to automate your windows on arm. Directed is a known brand, trusted, warrantied.... Remember.... you get what you pay for......

What model Viper do you like?

I currently have the 791xv, it's the 1/4 mile range unit, with lcd display, security, remote start, 2-way communication....

The 5900 is the upgraded model of the 791xv, only difference is range... 5900 uses SST which makes it approx 1mile, (that's tested in the salt flats) 5900 has a little taller antenna on the remote and a different antenna on the unit itself... bout the only difference. The newer unit seems to "lag" between arm and disarm pushes... it could be because of the code hoping, I've never turned it off and tried it.... My 791 seems to be quicker by a little bit. Not a huge deal...

If you really want a nice unit they do make a 7900 which, I couldn't find any specs on range, but is similar to both these models, except for instead of having a lcd display, it has a OLED display... pretty kick @ss, I'd hate to buy a replacement remote though...

Or if you like pink... I see they make a pink responder LE model which goes to fighting cancer... Viper makes a donation for each unit purchased.

BTW, I have a Viper 771XV listed for my friend on Madison Craigslist, $180 New in box, Same as my 791xv, just the remote doesn't have an LCD.
