I've wanted to pick up another ranger for a while. I'd like to find a 95-97 (OBDII, but still using the beam suspension) with a blown V6 and swap in a different V6.
I know the cast iron SOHC 4.0 from a later ranger/explorer is a direct swap pretty much, but I wonder if a duratec 3.0 from a lincoln LS would bolt to a ranger/f-150 5spd or maybe a mustang trans?
I'm also curious how hard it would be to run the loom from an Eddie Bauer V8 between a Ranger and a 4.6 from a Mustang...
just curiosity now, obviously dont have funds for anything like this. humor me if you happen to know.
