well I am off to take the car to a few bodyshops so we can have some of our own estimates b4 they send out an adjuster to asess the damages. I'll find out today if she is going to be totalled or not or if it is going to come close that is.

lol well i bet she is toast our estimate was for 3495 wont find anything out for a while though our body shop is backed up till the first. Supposed to drop it off on the first and go from there i guess. In the meantime im going to be looking for somr stock suspension and wheels etc.....

for a door & straightening the quarter panel? I hope this includes new paint on the entire car...I'd be surprised if the ins co would cover a complete non-stock repaint & doubt that it would be totalled over a rippled door.
Interested to hear how this turns out.
a new door alone is almost 1300 bucks it also covers repaint on the door, quarter, rear bumper cover, and blending. Not to mention a refinish on the rear wheel that has a good gash and dent in it.

Doors can be had for <$200 & it's a common practice for ins co to use recycled parts, especially an OEM door that will have no safety impact on the vehicle.

they actually do list that high. I was thinking about puting some new "jap" doors on my ranger & they run $300/ea before my discount.
they can do whatever they want I dont really care lol I am hoping for a total loss on it, but if not no biggie but all I have to say is I hope they can match the paint because my wife is one picky

And this is why we dont let Women drive the Lawn Mower.. Whatever you do never buy a Zero turn and let her drive it..LOL Sucks what happened..a good painter can match that color enough to blend it and make it look good.
she wasnt on the mower Joe you must fail at reading or I just suck at explaining. She was driving the cougar. The paint match I am really not sure about but we will see soon enough.

wow nobody reads lol she was driving down the road. retard is checking his mail. she proceeds to go around the said retard. Retard somehow misses noticing the loud ass bright orange car and goes to swing out and do a u-turn basically and well in the process hit the side of the car with the bumper of the mower lol.
The thing with the paint is the fact that it is a 3 stage tha they didnt do "right" in the first place. They did it the way they did to get the look the car has but it is also gong to make it hell for the shop to match it. He has a pretty good idea what the paint is and stuff, but I wont find out anything for another good bit. He is booked till the 1st and we cant drop off the car till then.

lol bad deal is we are having to file this on our insurance cause come to find out he has no insurance so we have to pay our deductable and all then our insurance will go after him for the money back. We get our ded back if they recover funds from him but who knows how that will turn out.
